Britain's Defense

After nearly two years of fighting against the Chimera on the mainland Britain is forced to retreat. A great defense is positioned on the coasts of Britain; yet after several days no Chimeran ships appear. After weeks turn into months no sign of the Chimera along any of the British lines. The US makes it's move shipping fifty thousand rangers to Britain and Europe to reinforce the resistance left in Europe and the lines of Britain. The US reclaims parts of France costing hundreds of lives but saving dozens. The capitals are burning but the remaining forces from the initial invasion fight hard. French and German forces formed a defensive line keeping the Chimera at bay with heavy artillery. Spanish, Italian, Polish, European soldiers and survivors come to the line hearing of the great defense. Only a handful at a time if any. With the US' help enforcing the lines and supplying the resistance. Europe has a chance.

The Lines Of Earth

Little comes from the rest of the world. The Chimera seem to hit the most important or powerful nations. Reports of activity come from South America, Africa, and Asia but not nearly as ferocious as the invasion of Europe. As mentioned before every civilian was evacuated to Australia it is evident the Chimera followed them for no communication has come from that hemisphere. All men aristocrat, civilian, what ever their position in society is drafted into the British army. Even as the countries become a little more engaged with the war every able bodied man is being sent to Britain or the US to enlist. African nations, Central and South America. China is leading the Asian army. All women and children are being evacuated to the US. No word of Russia has come since they closed their borders.

War For Europe

Europe's center in ruins Britain launches a massive invasion attempting to reclaim the continent. Along their struggle they come across French survivors, German; survivors, the ones that fled at the sound of gunshots. Some of the leftover military holding a fort. Not many men. British forces patrolling encounter a Chimeran held town where an assault takes place. 450 British soldiers were deployed...none survived. As the war rages on finally they call to the US for assistance. But even without the world wars the US still does not want to get involved until it's too late. Britain keeps the war effort going but the Chimera are numerous, advanced, and bloodthirsty.

The Prelude Of Britian's Fall

In the beginning the movement of the Chimera is ominous; almost silent. First a few civilians are reported missing in German villages, a few in France; carnivorous animal activity is suspected but little attention is supplied. Gun shots will ring out at all hours of the night; inhuman calls heard throughout the night. Then a body is found maybe two in Romania, Italy. A few years go by finally an entire British patrol vanishes awakening the great nations...another year passes Britain calls for France no answer; Germany no answer; Europe in it's entirety no answer. Reconnaissance teams are sent out they do not return. Then on a coastal outpost of the British is attacked...no bodies, no survivors... the British army launches to reclaim it; finally...the Chimera show their faces.

The World Before The End

Before the invasion of the Chimera in 1945 every nation will sign a peace agreement in the decades before. Germany, France, Britain, China, Japan, the US, the great nations will be at peace. But Russia is left out, the Russians' fear of European anti-imperialism, forces Russia to cut off all contact with the outside world. A large stone wall barbed with wire is erected along the borders called "The Red Curtain" which dominates the Great Wall of China for span and width. The economy in each city will be blooming just as history had, technology will advance especially warfare.

Fall of Asia

Britain will be overrun. Russia: fallen. Europe will be the Chimera's breeding ground. Creating new soldiers and taking the bodies of the fallen. Next they will march on Asia with Japan, China, and India fighting the Chimera the trenches of the last few nations will be filled with corpses; filled with new Chimera soldiers. They will fight hard for their country; but the Chimera are advanced. They will be outmatched, outgunned, outnumbered...none of can prevail. We need a miracle. North America must prepare the defenses. Because it's our country this time, and we'll be damned if we let those alien sons' of bitches take it from us.

"From this day until the ending of the world; we in it shall be remembered: we few, we lucky few, we band of brothers. For he who today sheds his blood with me; shall be my brother."

Fall of Europe

Europe will mount a defense against the threat. But they will be completely unprepared. One by one the countries will fall. They will leave no country untouched, no army intact; they'll leave nothing. The Europeans will fight hard for many days ... but only days; the Chimera will stop at nothing. The ruins of Paris will burn in a matter of hours. Their technology is advanced and their numbers great.
Man is failing. We said Zero Fighters against their giant war machines. Pitiful. Britain will be the Europeans last Baston against the flood. They'll hold the Chimeran armies for nearly a year with US troops being shipped in to aid the defense. But they will fail. Man will fail.

Chimera?

There are dozens of ideas out there on the subject of humanity's annihilation. Some give credit to a nuclear holocaust theory perhaps involving the Chinese and or Russians. Others believe we will destroy the earth with our careless ways causing global warming, running out of fresh water, and so on. Ridiculous theories however are such that are of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Will Smith that robots in the future will in fact turn on the human race.
My theory is that a full on alien invasion will occur; the aliens will have inhabited Earth in the present millennium and will be outraged upon our survival, advancement, and how we treat the Earth and the other organisms. The Chimera will ruthlessly lay waste to Europe, Asia, and Africa; leaving the US as the last lines of earth.
