The Chimera

The Chimera inhabited the Earth in the present Millennium leaving ruins, artifacts, hints, warnings. They left to continue their pillage of the galaxies or their search for a hospitable planet. Their motive is unclear to as why they want the human race exterminated. The human race did nothing to provoke the mighty invaders. They came with malice in their veins. They cannot be stopped. With each life taken another Chimeran soldier rises to fight. Those who surrender are spared death; but are given the infection becoming the Cloven. The Cloven fight against both the humans and the Chimera with modified Chimeran weapons. We're outmatched, outgunned, outnumbered...there's nothing left for the human race Their technology is vast we cannot counter we just have to keep trying...but the lines grow thin. They can survive everything we throw at them. Their bodies regenerate when wounded, they spawn by the thousands in Europe. Our lines are thin. We cannot hold.

Sergeant Nathan Hale

Nathan Hale was a brave man he gave his life for the human race. His act of bravery crippled the Chimeran forces but still they pushed on. Soon after the explosion a remaining squad of Spec Ops who had escorted Hale went on a reconnaissance mission of the area. In the rumble Hale stood with a deep anger and hatred in his eyes. The Spec Ops approached carefully in fear that Hale had been infected by the Chimera. Hale removed a grenade and stared ferociously at the men. Dropping the grenade they escorted him to the helicopter. Hale had been altered but not infected. He could regenearte as the Chimera could, had near incomprehensible strength, and logic. Hale was a sign of hope for he still fought for the human race.

The Fall Of Britain

The British defenders fought hard for months. Fending off the Chimera; there was never a victory for the British only a great delay. The US shipped the 21st Rangers to lead the assault on the shores of Europe. A young sergeant would lead the human race to a massive counter attack; Sergeant Nathan Hale. The war raged on for many months. Britain finally retreated back to their home. British forces were scattered as it was, only a few dozen soldiers made it back home. The US helped dig in and they waited. Nearly a year had passed when finally the first Chimera landed on British sands. The Chimeran war ships were bombarding Britain from the beginning but suffering heavy counter strikes and sabotage. Nathan Hale aided the British defenders vigorously. But the Chimera were too many. Nathan Hale snuck aboard the main Chimeran mother-ship. It's size took a city to host. Nathan Hale blew it up improvising with enemy weaponary giving his life to give Britain a chance. London is burning. The British soldiers were exterminated soon after. The US forces retreated back across the Atlantic preparing defenses.

Britain's Defense

After nearly two years of fighting against the Chimera on the mainland Britain is forced to retreat. A great defense is positioned on the coasts of Britain; yet after several days no Chimeran ships appear. After weeks turn into months no sign of the Chimera along any of the British lines. The US makes it's move shipping fifty thousand rangers to Britain and Europe to reinforce the resistance left in Europe and the lines of Britain. The US reclaims parts of France costing hundreds of lives but saving dozens. The capitals are burning but the remaining forces from the initial invasion fight hard. French and German forces formed a defensive line keeping the Chimera at bay with heavy artillery. Spanish, Italian, Polish, European soldiers and survivors come to the line hearing of the great defense. Only a handful at a time if any. With the US' help enforcing the lines and supplying the resistance. Europe has a chance.

The Lines Of Earth

Little comes from the rest of the world. The Chimera seem to hit the most important or powerful nations. Reports of activity come from South America, Africa, and Asia but not nearly as ferocious as the invasion of Europe. As mentioned before every civilian was evacuated to Australia it is evident the Chimera followed them for no communication has come from that hemisphere. All men aristocrat, civilian, what ever their position in society is drafted into the British army. Even as the countries become a little more engaged with the war every able bodied man is being sent to Britain or the US to enlist. African nations, Central and South America. China is leading the Asian army. All women and children are being evacuated to the US. No word of Russia has come since they closed their borders.

War For Europe

Europe's center in ruins Britain launches a massive invasion attempting to reclaim the continent. Along their struggle they come across French survivors, German; survivors, the ones that fled at the sound of gunshots. Some of the leftover military holding a fort. Not many men. British forces patrolling encounter a Chimeran held town where an assault takes place. 450 British soldiers were deployed...none survived. As the war rages on finally they call to the US for assistance. But even without the world wars the US still does not want to get involved until it's too late. Britain keeps the war effort going but the Chimera are numerous, advanced, and bloodthirsty.

The Prelude Of Britian's Fall

In the beginning the movement of the Chimera is ominous; almost silent. First a few civilians are reported missing in German villages, a few in France; carnivorous animal activity is suspected but little attention is supplied. Gun shots will ring out at all hours of the night; inhuman calls heard throughout the night. Then a body is found maybe two in Romania, Italy. A few years go by finally an entire British patrol vanishes awakening the great nations...another year passes Britain calls for France no answer; Germany no answer; Europe in it's entirety no answer. Reconnaissance teams are sent out they do not return. Then on a coastal outpost of the British is attacked...no bodies, no survivors... the British army launches to reclaim it; finally...the Chimera show their faces.
